I'm very sorry on behalf of the club that we haven't been around much lately. My laptop at home has died and for obvious reasons, *Respect-Us isn't the kind of thing I can do here at work very often

So voting for our Birthday Contest should have closed the other day but AGAIN hardly anyone has voted Only 35 have voted, which leaves us with uneven results. It's sad when this happens because it makes me wonder whether I should make the effort to create contests anymore. If people won't even vote, let along participate. We have over 300 members...so how have only 35 made the effort to vote?!

Voting for the contest has been extended to 21st April 2008. PLEASE, to all of those who have not yet voted, take just a minute of your time to vote for your favourite contest entry. We need to be able to announce the winners! Also, =Hummingbird88 has been incredibly kind and has decided to donate a 1 month subscription to 3rd place. It's our 1st birthday on 19th March, and we want to celebrate it with you! The club has grown so much over the past year, and we've had a real response which has made creating the club worth while. So here's the contest!

We want you to create a piece of artwork with the number 1 in it somewhere! You could paint or draw it on your body. You could use it as a background. You could do anything with it! So long as the number 1 is in the picture. It can be photograph, a drawing, a manipulation...anything really! It's just got to have the number 1 in it! The contest is running from now until 25th March. So get your entries in! Just post them to your gallery, then send us a note with a link to it and we'll post it here in our gallery too. When the contest has ended, we will hold a vote, like we do with our other contests so you get to choose the winner! So far, *seattleslough has very kindly donated a 1 year subscription to the winner! And =skyggeTrone will create a unique stamp for the winner We still need some more prizes! If you could donate something, that would be wonderful. Can you make CSS journal layouts? Well, you could create one for the winner! Or donate a subscription. Anything would be appreciated

I had a note from *Sierralove today and I agree with her. We are both a little disapointed with the amount of contest entries we've had. The closing date was supposed to be today but by special request, I am extending it until Monday 31st March to hopefully get some more entries in. But seriously, this club has over 300 members! So where are the entries? Please be honest with me...is there any point in me running contests for the club anymore? If the case is no, I will stop wasting my time and yours. Please let me know, either way.

On a more positive note, I would like to thank everyone who has supported and entered the contest so far. I you lot! You are what keeps this club alive.
